OUR PHILOSOPHY

Founded from within the community, for the community.

Sawubona is a Zulu greeting that means "we see you." We believe that maternal mental health requires more than just clinical intervention; it requires profound connection, cultural understanding, and a space where you don't have to explain yourself.

01

Seeing

Acknowledging your full identity. You are a mother, but you are also a woman with valid fears, dreams, and complexities.

02

Belonging

Creating culturally responsive spaces where global majority mothers find immediate shared understanding without translation.

03

Holding

Clinically informed peer support that holds space for your struggles without judgment, pity, or toxic positivity.

04

Becoming

Supporting your transition through early motherhood, empowering you to navigate the profound changes in your life and body.

OUR CORE PROGRAMME

Mamas Circle

Twice-Monthly Sessions

A consistent space to return to, twice a month, every month. Something to look forward to.

Clinically Informed

Led by Dr. Alria Williams, Clinical Psychologist bringing warmth, expertise and understanding to every circle.

Zero Cost

Financial barriers should never prevent connection. Mamas Circle is always free to attend online.

I think spaces just for mums are really needed and there are not many. Having a protected space for mums feels really necessary.
